Our Software Developments Recognised by Apple Computer Inc

Way back in 1999 we were approached by Roche Pharmaceuticals to develop a solution so they could archive a Medical Symposium held in Barcelona, for doctors spread all over the world to view online. more info…

In 1999 this was no mean feat, as webcasting and presentation archiving was still within its infancy, plus audience connection speeds were usually very slow, 56k modems or even slower!

Faced with this problem we set about developing our own solution, that allowed the slide information to be stored in vector format (thus remaining small in file size, but scalable to full screen while retaining perfect image quality). We also combined them into a single file along with the video & audio, thus creating a very flexible solution that allowed those with very slow internet connections, the ability to download the entire presentation and view it at exactly the same quality as those with faster connections. To accomplish this we used Apple QuickTime.

This development was recognised by Apple Computer, who named us in their developers handbook “QuickTime for the Web”

This early development formed the basis of our current ezpresenter™ system.
