Clipon Friends Brand Website
for Glaxo SmithKline
We were commissioned to create a brand website for
the new Clipon Friends™ electric toothbrush
range from GSK, for 3-6 year olds. The site was to
be full of activities and tell the story of Princess
Isabella and The Evil King Tartar. While the site
was in essence promotional, it was equally important
that the site be informative and educational, so contained
useful and beneficial dental health information for
both adults and children.
We were asked to submit creative ideas for the various
activities, and suggest ways in which the site could
be enhanced. Utilising our previous experience of
award winning children's programmes, we quickly came
up with various ways the site could be brought to
life.
A children's artist was commissioned to develop the
illustrative style and main storyline, while we developed
the numerous activities for the site, which included
pictures the children could print out, colour in,
dot-to-dot, make character masks, birthday & thank
you cards.
We sourced and recorded a voice over artist, as there
was the option of having the story read to the children
as well as them reading it themselves. The illustrations
were redrawn on computer and animated to the narration
with additional sound effects. The final story was
released in eight weekly episodes with additional
activities being added during the period.
A competition was also held asking the children to
submit ideas for additional characters. The main characters
were, Princess Isabella, Leonard the Lion, Mino the
Monkey, Eva the Elephant, Spaceman Spectrum &
The Evil King Tartar.
