200 players in 22 Countries Simultaneously Play Teambuilding Game Across Dell Intranet

Building upon the huge success of "The Matrix" game we'd already created, Dell wished to use the system for an up and coming live event, but as their main European offices are based in Bracknell, Limerick & Montpellier and they have technical support staff spread across 19 countries throughout Europe, they needed the game customised so all their staff could be involved.

The first task was to ascertain exactly how and whether we could physically connect the game from one location to another and then decide upon how we could manage the game remotely. In both cases Dell's internal IT department were incredible, not only did they allow us access to their entire intranet to run the final game on, but they also allowed us to test early beta versions of the game and added additional software to their standard install pack, so any member of staff company wide, could install and be ready to play the game in any location by simply updating their machine across the Dell network.

This co-operation speeded up the development process no end even allowing us time to develop the addition of video streaming & chat between players of the game using Flash video and Multi-user server, which we think is a world first!.

The resulting game was a great success and linked over 200 players in 22 countries across Dell's intranet.
